The Emergency Medicine Residency program at the Nebraska Medical Center provides a varied and comprehensive education. Variety comes in the different forms of education available: from bedside teaching to reading at home, and everything in between.

The clinical rotations have been tailored to resident feedback to provide the best educational opportunity for Emergency residents, including the creation of the Emergency Department (ED) based Orthopaedics rotation, as well as ED Ultrasound and Radiology. The conference experience has been developed to be more interactive with case conferences and occasional Mega-case days. There is the opportunity to learn rare and critical procedures in our cadaver lab, as well as how to manage critical patients with the simulation lab.

There are multiple other sources of educational material, including provided texts, access to the McGoogan Medical Library, and numerous other sources that allow self-directed learning outside of the classroom.

The emergency medicine curriculum provides a "road map" the resident will follow to become an outstanding emergency physician. For more details follow the links on the left.
