Andrew Vasey, MD

Dr. Andrew Vasey

Dr. Vasey is an assistant professor of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He practices both ambulatory medicine through the division of General Internal Medicine along with inpatient medicine with the division of Hospital Medicine. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006, completed his Internal Medicine residency at UNMC in 2009, and served as a chief resident at UNMC in 2010.

He is the physician leader for the Primary Care Clinical Program at Nebraska Medicine. Dr. Vasey is active in teaching medical students and residents in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. He established a post-acute COVID clinic here at UNMC/Nebraska Medicine and is the clinical primary investigator for the NIH-funded RECOVER study, which is looking at the long-term effects of COVID-19.
