Sias Scherger, MD

Sias Scherger, MD, joined the faculty of the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases in 2023. Dr. Scherger first became interested in infectious diseases during the microbiology section of year two of medical school and developed further interest throughout medical school and residency when working with immunocompromised hosts such as solid organ transplant recipients, hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients, and other patients with inherited or acquired immunodeficiencies. This became Dr. Scherger's main area of focus during Infectious Diseases fellowship and when working as faculty.
