Rick Starlin

Rick Starlin is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine in the UNMC Division of Infectious Diseases. He completed his medical degree at UNMC. His residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases was completed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St Louis. He subsequently served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Washington University after completing his fellowship. Dr. Starlin worked in private practice ID in the Omaha community prior to joining UNMC in December 2018. 

Dr. Starlin is currently the associate medical director for Employee Health and co-medical director of the IM subspecialty clinic at Nebraska Medicine. He also serves as the service line director Community ID/Telehealth ID service and medical director of the non-tuberculous mycobacteria/bronchiectasis in the national Care Center Network. His clinical and research interests include non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections, employee health and general infectious diseases. Dr. Starlin's broad range of experience and his current roles at UNMC has allowed him to assist ID fellows in developing career paths and goals. Outside of work he enjoys multiple sports, reading and traveling.
