Kristina Bailey, MD, ATSF

Dr. Bailey is a physician-scientist in the division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She also provides clinical care to Veterans as a staff physician at VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System.
Her research focuses on how exposures such as heavy alcohol intake, drug use, aging and agricultural dust exposures affect lung health. She is particularly interested in pulmonary innate immunity and mucociliary clearance.
She is an American Thoracic Society Fellow, and is active in the Environmental, Occupational and Public Health assembly of the American Thoracic Society.
