Biography
Payton Flowers is an Omaha native. She graduated from Nebraska Methodist College in 2021 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and again in 2023 with a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing education. She spent the first two years of her nursing career on the Cardiac Care Unit and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Nebraska Medicine. Ms. Flowers has a passion for those that cannot speak for themselves and became a Forensic Nurse Examiner in the Emergency Department at Nebraska Medicine. She began her teaching career at UNMC College of Nursing upon completion of her Master’s degree. She has a strong passion to educate the next generation of nurses to come and to help them fall in love with the career like her instructors did.
Outside of work, Ms. Flowers and her husband enjoy traveling, Sunday brunch, and taking their dog to the lake.
