Kim Jonas, PhD
The overarching aim of Dr. Kim Jonas' research programs are to improve women’s reproductive health, with focus on understanding the mechanisms governing ovarian ageing. She uses interdisciplinary and multimodal approaches to interrogate this question and explore translational opportunities to improve women’s reproductive health and assisted conception outcomes. Dr. Jonas’ work has been funded by multiple funding agencies in the UK (BBSRC, MRC), the USA (NICHD, NIA), charities and industry. She is a passionate advocate for reproductive science, and a Council member and Chair of the Program and Awards Committee of the Society for Reproduction and Fertility.

Dr Jonas established her independent research group at St George’s University of London as an Assistant Professor, before moving to KCL in 2019.

Dr. Jonas is a passionate educator and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. At King’s College London, UK, she is co-director of the MSc in Women and Children’s Health. She supports undergraduate education, leading a level 6 reproductive physiology module and hosting undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.  She holds a full academic appointment as Reader (tenured Associate Professor) in Reproductive Physiology at KCL, supporting and mentoring her international research team.
