Our program recently spearheaded Nebraska joining Project ADAM, which works with healthcare systems across the nation to promote and support implementation of Heat Safe Schools.  With a focus on continuing these efforts far into the future, our faculty work closely with education leaders within UNMC and Children's Hospital & Medical Center to optimize resident and medical school education in pediatric cardiovascular diseases.  We offer ACGME accredited fellowships in pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease.  Our division continually explores advancements in technology to optimize the experience and curriculum  Our staff are deeply involved in the community as board members for parent and family support organizations, sponsor charity events, volunteer to work residential camps for patients, and participate in educational and clinical mission trips to help people in need around the world including Africa and Central America.
