Rashmitha Dachepally, MD
Assistant Professor, UNMC Division of Critical Care
As a pediatric cardiac intensivist, my research focuses on the outcomes of children with heart disease. I leverage large databases and predictive analytics with AI to investigate how perioperative factors influence mortality and morbidity. Additionally, I examine the effects of psychosocial and physical morbidities on the quality of life, as well as the behavioral and emotional well-being of both children with complex congenital heart disease and their parents. My work also includes studying psychological support strategies for parents in the cardiac ICU.
