Patient Care

Partnership

Our department is in partnership with Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital-Omaha Campus which is located in the Village Pointe area. The 260,000-square-foot-building opened in October 2016 and serves as the home base for the new physical medicine and rehabilitation program for UNMC/Nebraska Medicine. The campus contains three major areas:

A long term acute care specialty hospital;
A children's rehabilitation unit; and
An outpatient physicians clinic.

Other highlights include a main therapy gym, a warm water pool, and a chapel. The building also includes; Independence Square, a simulated community for patients to practice and re-learn daily independent living skills such as driving, laundry, and grocery shopping.
