August Anderson, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology in the UNMC College of Medicine. Dr. Anderson provides clinical care as a radiation oncologist through UNMC’s primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine, at the UnityPoint Health - St Luke's June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

He received a bachelor's degree in biology and Hispanic studies from The College of William & Mary in Virginia. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine/ Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.

Dr. Anderson uses 3D conformal, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, SBRT and SRS techniques to treat various types of cancers, tumors, and benign conditions. 

He is licensed in the states of Nebraska and Iowa.
