The Department of Radiation Oncology is dedicated to providing a comprehensive scope of practice in the areas of patient care, education and research for the benefit of our patients, physicians and all who are in need of radiation oncology services The Department of Radiation Oncology Department has and continues to distinguishes itself in the delivery of clinical care and strives to enhance the development of research initiatives as well as support the educational needs of the College of Medicine and the College of Allied Health Professions.

Our Vision: The vision of the Radiation Oncology Department is to be the leader in clinical patient care by employing the latest advances in technology and innovative treatment techniques. The desired results that we would be striving for are improvements in patient outcomes.

Parallel to the development of the clinical program, we are working on increasing the development of our research programs. This would then offer the future opportunities for translational research to be accomplished with other departments.

The Department encourages opportunities for interaction with students in the College of Medicine and the College of Allied Health Professions, along with other resident physicians programs.

The overall vision is to develop into a program that brings national recognition to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Eppley Cancer Institute and Nebraska Medicine.
