Courtney Hughbanks, PLMHP

Courtney received her Master of Science degree through the Clinical Mental Health Program at the University of Nebraska – Kearney in August 2024. She is currently a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner (PLMHP) for the state of Nebraska.
She completed her internship with UNMC’s Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI), where she gained experience working with children and adolescents, implementing behavioral interventions for a wide range of clinical and psychological concerns.
Courtney credits her internship experience within an integrated healthcare model as valuable preparation for her role working with UNMC students. She is available to help students explore their personal and professional goals by utilizing a range of counseling techniques and theories, both in-person and through telehealth.
Whether students want to delve into deeper issues, work through relationship challenges, or find short-term solutions and resources, Courtney understands the importance of meeting students where they are.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys traveling with family and friends, discussing all things TV shows, podcasts, and movies, and spending time with Tilly, her fluffy Pembroke Welsh corgi.
