Program Highlights

While completing the APP fellowship program, you will gain the skills and knowledge to care for patients with severe illnesses or injuries. During the program, you will be a salaried, fully-benefited Nebraska Medicine employee. What makes this program perfect for you:

  • Certification in Advanced Trauma and Life Support.
  • Certification in Fundamentals of Critical Care Support.
  • High-impact procedural training, at the bedside and in our simulation and skills lab.  
  • Skill development, including placing chest tubes, CVC and arterial lines; point-of-care ultrasound; and performing bronchoscopy and laceration repair.
  • Mentorship by experienced APPs and physicians.
  • Opportunities to conduct research.
  • Varied educational components, including a didactic curriculum, weekly educational conferences, clinical curriculum and journal club.
  • Daily patient-care responsibilities, including patient history, chart review, orders, physical, bedside examination, data interpretation and daily rounds.
