UNMC Psychiatry Has Returned to the Main Campus - October 2012. 

Welcome to the University of Nebraska Medical Center Department of Psychiatry’s web site. The department has been at the forefront of psychiatric care of Nebraskans for decades and strives to fulfill excellence in clinical service, teaching, and research. The department provides outstanding inpatient and outpatient clinical care as a base for teaching the next generation of clinicians and researchers. Members of our clinician-educator faculty continue to be in the vanguard of both the study and treatment of mental illness across the lifespan, with experts in child, adult, and geriatric psychiatry.

We provide training at all levels from the first year of medical school to the completion of post residency fellowships, and particularly through the combined Creighton-Nebraska Residency Training Program with the Creighton University School of Medicine.

The department also conducts innovative research in the assessment and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and depression.
