Pukhraj Rishi

Dr. Rishi is an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he is an ocular oncologist and vitreoretinal surgeon.

After completing his ophthalmology residency in India, Dr. Rishi was fellowship trained in vitreoretinal surgery in India and at the Truhlsen Eye Institute/UNMC, Omaha. A scholarship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) allowed him to pursue further training in ocular oncology (eye tumors) at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

He has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, authored 20 book chapters and co-edited three books. He has presented more than 150 invited lectures. He is a reviewer for 50 international Ophthalmology journals and he is the academic editor for PLOS ONE journal and section editor for ocular oncology in Indian Journal of Ophthalmology.
