Lauryn Burbridge, BSEM, EMT

 Lauryn Burbridge brings over ten years of experience in emergency medical services as a nationally registered emergency medical technician (EMT). In addition to her EMT role, she has served as a patient care technician with the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit for five years and has taught as an adjunct instructor for the NDMS Isolation, Simulation, and Quarantine Course. Lauryn also teaches CPR, First Aid, and EMT courses as an adjunct faculty member.

 Currently, Lauryn is a project manager at the Global Center for Health Security, where she excels in project management, coordinating and executing training curricula, overseeing high-fidelity simulations, and managing a variety of initiatives. Her role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring timelines and objectives are met, and maintaining effective communication across all stakeholders. Lauryn is also responsible for managing logistics and administrative duties for health security-related events and projects. She has contributed to several major health security programs, including the Training, Simulation, and Quarantine Center, the National Infection Control Strengthening grant, Region VII Disaster Health Response Ecosystem grant, USU – NDMS Pilot projects amongst other programs.

 Lauryn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in emergency management and a minor in business and political science from University of Nebraska - Omaha in May 2024.
