Wen Shi, PhD

Instructor, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine

Dr. Shi received his bachelor of science in Pharmacy from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009 and obtained his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015. His doctoral research was focused on developing novel, biodegradable peptide and polymer conjugates for cancer imaging and drug delivery. He joined Duan Lab in 2018 as a Post Doc research associate and became an instructor in 2021.

Dr. Shi's research interest includes the development of hydrogel-based materials for 3D culture, tissue engineering, drug screening, and drug delivery.
