Education
- BS: China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China, 2013
- PhD: Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, 2018
Research
The Shi Lab is interested in how chromatin remodeling complexes and their associated transcription factors regulate embryonic heart development and cardiomyocyte maturation, as well as how their variants contribute to congenital heart diseases.
- Using transgenic mouse models to manipulate gene expression coupled with lineage tracing specifically in cardiomyocytes and non-cardiomyocytes to explore how these gene control embryonic heart development.
- Using Adeno-associated virus-mediated gene manipulation system to control gene expression in neonatal mouse hearts in order to identify their contribution to cardiomyocyte maturation.
