Space & Equipment

The 12th floor of Lied Tower is home to four faculty research labs in addition to shared translational research space and shared equipment.

Translational Space

The shared equipment room features chemical and biological safety cabinets, refrigerator, water filtration system, microscope and flow cytometer. In addition, there is dedicated bench space for the Research Accelerator equipped with a variety of equipment for biochemical and molecular assays.

Acoustic NxTFocusing Flow Cytometer

Located on the Cardiovascular research floor so it is in close proximity for primary samples. Suitable for the analysis of human cardiomyocytes isolated from biopsy samples, blood cells, and extracellular vesicles. This instrument is managed by the UNMC Flow Cytometry Core. All users must first complete training

Lionheart FX Automated Microscope

Lionheart FX automated microscope is equipped wit 60x air; 60x and 100x oil immersion magnification, with fluorescence, brightfield, color brightfield, and phase contrast channels.
