Dr. Blount is assistant professor in the division of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed medical school at UNMC College of Medicine and went on to internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Blount's clinical interests are diabetes, endocrine care, hormone care, non-surgical medical weight loss, osteoporosis, parathyroid care and thyroid care. She is interested in patient outreach and providing subspecialty endocrine care to rural patients via telehealth and management of pituitary tumors and endocrine care after transsphenoidal surgery.
Dr. Blount sees patients at the Specialty Services Pavilion on the UNMC Campus and at the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center at Oakview Health Center.
