During her hematology-oncology fellowship, Dr. Snegha Ananth served as Chief Wellness Fellow, where she launched an intra-divisional newsletter to enhance a sense of community during the COVID era of virtual meetings. She also organized group sessions to support her co-fellows throughout their training. In addition, Dr. Ananth mentored residents and fellows, helping them develop research that was successfully presented at major national meetings.

Research Interests

Dr. Ananth is focused on bone marrow transplantation/leukemia.

  • Minimal residual disease (research looking to investigate better methods to detect hidden cancer cells early on and personalize care and treatment based on detection)

  • Improving CAR-T and other cellular therapies to be more effective and safer for lymphomas

  • Studies looking into health and gender disparities for more equitable and personalized care
