Kate-Lynn Muir, DO

Dr. Muir is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2016.  During her training at NYIT, Dr. Muir was a member of Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Honor Society, Sigma Sigma Phi National Osteopathic Honor Society, and received the Glasgow-Rubin Certificate, awarded to the graduating female physician graduating 1st in their medical school class.

In 2017 Dr. Muir joined the UNMC internal medicine residency program, during which she served as the Chief Resident in Quality and Safety at the Omaha VA Medical Center (2019-2020). After completing her residency in 2020, Dr. Muir joined UNMC's Division of Hematology and Oncology fellowship program, completing the program in 2023 after having served as the Chief Fellow for Hematology/Oncology.  

Dr. Muir is actively engaged in medical practice, teaching, and clinical research and specializes in the care of patients with thoracic and lung cancers. 

 

Dr. Muir sees patients at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
