NeuroInformatics and Network Science Initiative

Vision Statement: To transform neurological care, research and education through advanced, ethically grounded informatics that drives discovery and improves health

Overview: The NINS positions the institution at the forefront of informatics through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, ethically grounded, and impact-driven strategy. Through rigorous implementation and broad engagement with institutional and network partners, it will catalyze advancements in neurology, clinical care, and data-driven discovery. This effort aligns with data strategies that aim to "collect once, use many times."

It supports basic scientific discovery, enhances understanding of health trends over time, and enables robust assessment of treatment modalities. The approach facilitates streamlined reporting to registeries, strengthens patient engagement through permission-based data use, and ensures that results are returned to patients and health providers. These elements create opportunities for greater efficiency.
