Biography

Dr. Amy Ford is an Assistant Professor in the Omaha Division of the College of Nursing. She received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Nebraska Methodist College and her Master’s in nursing and Doctorate of nursing practice from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Ford is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and has a high interest in prenatal care and pregnancy outcomes as well as stillbirth awareness.

Dr. Ford’s research area focuses on prenatal care and improving prenatal outcomes.

Service

Dr. Ford is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at All Care Health Center (ACHC) in Council Bluffs, IA. ACHC is a Federally Qualifying Health Center (FQHC) that provides care to low income and culturally diverse patients. Dr. Ford enjoys providing OB/GYN care to the patients at ACHC and helping them identify resources to meet their needs.

Co-chair of UNMC CON Faculty Practice committee (2016-2018).

Board Member Sigma Theta Tau-Omaha campus counselor.

Member National Association of Nurse Practitioner's in Women's Health (NPWH).
