Biography

Dr. Bunny Pozehl’s program of research focuses on exercise training interventions and promoting adherence to exercise in heart failure. Health-related outcomes of interest in response to exercise are adherence behavior, symptoms, physiological and psychological functioning and quality of life. Self-care management in individuals with multiple chronic conditions has also been a focus of her research. Dr. Pozehl is an Adult/Acute Care certified nurse practitioner, and she provides care to patients with advanced heart failure one-half day per week at Nebraska Medicine. Clinical practice informs her research and keeps her grounded in the actual delivery of evidence-based care for patients with heart failure.
