Biography


Tami Braley, PhD, AGPCNP-BC is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. She received her bachelor's Degree from UNMC CON-Omaha Division, her master's degree from UNMC CON-Omaha Division, and PhD degree in Nursing Science from UNMC CON-Omaha Division. Her clinical background includes medical-surgical nursing, gerontology nursing, research coordinator, gastrointestinal oncology research. She teaches graduate courses in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP program. Her qualitative dissertation investigated the rural spousal caregiver's experience with personal health promotion while caregiving for a person living with moderate to severe dementia. Dr. Braley's research interests are to improve the rural caregiver's quality of life and well-being with contextually sensitive health promotion interventions that enhance their physical health and support their emotional health.
