Biography
Dr. TaWanda Mercer is a Clinical Assistant Professor and a board-certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Nursing Practice degrees from Creighton University. She received her Master of Science Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has worked in the community as a nurse practitioner since 2009. She enjoys working with individuals with a severe and persistent mental illness. She especially enjoys working with those in underserved communities as well as individuals involved with the legal system. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner in psychiatry, she worked as mental health nurse.
