Clinical Trials

Clinical Trial Support

Tissue Sciences & Biospecimen Resources (TSBR) supports industry-sponsored, cooperative group, and investigator-initiated clinical trials by providing comprehensive biospecimen collection, processing, storage, and pathology services. We work closely with study teams from feasibility through study activation and specimen management to ensure high-quality, protocol-compliant support throughout the life of the trial. Our experienced team supports more than 120 clinical trials, providing centralized specimen management, pathology expertise, regulatory compliance, and secure biospecimen storage.

Major Services

Preparation of de-identified unstained slides, scrolls, etc., from clinically archived FFPE tissue
De-identification and scanning of clinical tissue glass slides provided in .NDPI or .SVS file formats
Procurement and preparation of newly obtained biopsy material for use by the clinical sponsor
Liquid biospecimen processing (generation of serum, plasma, buffy coat, PBMC isolation, urine, saliva, stool, etc.)
Intraoperative sterile tissue procurement
Pathologist professional services (sponsor-requested tumor scoring, etc.)
Shipping and handling
- 80°C freezer storage with 24/7 temperature monitoring and preventative maintenance
Inventory management
Specimen handling and/or shipping without processing
Other services as requested
