The University of Nebraska Medical Center Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program is a two-year program that combines broad clinical training at Children’s Nebraska, UNMC, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital and Bryan Medical Center.
The goal of the fellowship training in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is to provide educational experiences that prepare fellows to be competent pediatric hospitalists capable of providing comprehensive, coordinated care to a broad range of inpatient pediatric patients, leading to American Board of Pediatrics eligibility in pediatric hospital medicine. The fellows’ educational experiences must emphasize the competencies and skills needed to practice high-quality inpatient pediatric care. In addition, fellows must become sufficiently familiar with multiple inpatient pediatric settings to enable them to participate as team members in the care of patients with chronic and complex disorders.
