Thank you for your interest in the UNMC-CUMC-Children's Hospital & Medical Center Joint Pediatric Residency Training Program. We seek to provide to the residents an opportunity to develop a broad and comprehensive training in Pediatrics. Our goal is to train you to be an efficient, well-rounded, effective general pediatrician who can practice general pediatrics or fully prepared to enter subspecialty training.
We all pursue careers in Pediatrics because of the impact we have on a child’s life. Children are also fun patients and generally healthy. However a group of them have much more complex illnesses that challenge you intellectually.
The Creighton-Nebraska Universities Health Foundation Joint Residency program is unique, combining two university departments and a free standing Children’s Hospital. This affords a very diverse patient population. It also brings together pediatric subspecialty care and allows involvement of our community and regional pediatricians in Resident education. This allows our residents to pursue many career opportunities.
Our faculty remain very dedicated to resident education and are recognized nationally and internationally for their scholarly activities. Residents have many great opportunities to be involved in these activities with the support of the faculty.
Our residency training program is fully accredited.
