As a prospective student considers applying to our Doctor of Pharmacy program, we understand the expectation to be informed about the time commitment needed to complete the course of study, as well as the likelihood of licensure after completion. The following information illuminates the achievements of the most recent Doctor of Pharmacy graduates.
On-time Graduation
The Doctor of Pharmacy degree involves 64 semester hours of pre-pharmacy requirements that are completed prior to admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program. The expected time to complete the Doctor of Pharmacy program is four years of full-time study. Students may experience a delay in graduation for academic or personal reasons.

Performance on Licensure Exams
To become a licensed pharmacist, graduates must pass two exams: the NAPLEX (North American Pharmacy Licensure Examination) examination and a state specific MPJE (Multi-State Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination). Intern hours required for licensure vary by state. Please consult with appropriate state regulations for guidance.

In addition to the NAPLEX, Graduates must also pass a state specific law exam, MPJE, to obtain a license to practice as a pharmacist. A student may sit for the MPJE in more than one state, which means these numbers may show more MPJE attempts than students in the graduating class.
