James Willcockson, MD
Assistant Professor, UNMC Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Willcockson is a Nebraska native, having lived in the Omaha area throughout his childhood. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for undergraduate degree and completed medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Following medical school, Dr. Willcockson chose to pursue a career in plastic surgery, and completed an integrated plastic surgery residency program at the University of Utah and a hand surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He is an assistant professor of surgery in the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery at UNMC. He joined the division in September 2022. His practice primarily focuses on both soft tissue and bony procedures of the hand and wrist, reconstruction of the upper and lower extremities, and rehabilitation of the injured extremity.
