The Section of Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is responsible for the treatment of disorders of the brain, spine and spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system in the adult and pediatric patient. Our neurosurgeons provide state-of-the-art care to patients throughout Nebraska and the neighboring areas of Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas and Missouri.
We are the primary training site for a residency training program providing education to neurosurgeons, as well as medical students of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Our residents also train in the fields of emergency medicine, ENT, and orthopedics. Many of these residents will go on to be the physicians for patients in the state of Nebraska.
