Jessica Maxwell, MD, MS, FRCSC, FACS

Dr. Maxwell is a breast surgical oncologist and an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She serves as medical director of the Nebraska Medicine multidisciplinary breast program.

Dr. Maxwell completed general surgery residency at Queen’s University before her fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at the University of Toronto. She then completed an oncoplastic breast surgery fellowship at Western University. She completed her master’s degree in public health through the University of London’s School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Research Interests
Dr. Maxwell's research interests include the identification and mitigation of disparities in breast cancer care and oncoplastic breast surgery, as well as equity in surgical training and the surgical workforce.
