Research & Scholarship Core

The purpose of the Research & Scholarship Core is to plan and develop professional workshops and seminars and provide funding opportunities for interdisciplinary pilot research proposals focused on patient engagement in chronic care management. This core is also responsible for providing scientific review for proposals and facilitation of collaboration among center scientists.

  • Assume leadership in promoting translational research from efficacy to implementation science related to self-management
  • Establish a plan to develop and implement the priorities for professional development to support scientist development in the Center for Chronic Care Management.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders and other Centers to plan and initiate professional development activities for development of scientists’ research
  • Develop professional development activities that can be sustained
  • Disseminate FOA and review with a focus on chronic care self-management
  • Set direction for FOA based on current research priorities {e.g. technology, designs [efficacy to implementation (E2I)]} and calls (local, regional, national).
  • Facilitate collaborations among Center scientists with common research interests to secure funding.
