Bivek Wagle, MD

Bivek Wagle, MD

Dr. Bivek Wagle is a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at the Truhlsen Eye Institute, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Originally from Nepal, Dr. Wagle brings a unique global perspective to his work in ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Wagle is passionate about advancing the field of retina through both clinical care and research. His interests include management of retinal disease, global ophthalmology, and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, who inspire his work-life balance and drive to make a meaningful impact both at home and in the broader community.
