Farid Khan, MD
Farid was born in Iran and grew up mostly in the small northwest Georgia town of Dalton. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry he went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He stayed at Tulane to complete his Ophthalmology residency, where he rotated at the Tulane Medical Center, University Medical Center, Rapides Regional Medical Center, as well as three Veterans Affairs hospitals (New Orleans, Alexandria, and Biloxi). He is currently completing his Vitreoretinal fellowship at UNMC.
When he’s not at work, he and his wife, Sushma, enjoy spending time with their one year old son, Arya. Farid also enjoys cooking, biking, meteorology, exploring new cuisine, and anything relating to cars.
