Major Harris entered the Air Force in July 2013 as a commissioned 2nd Lieutenant through the Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) while attending medical school at Michigan State University. Maj Harris completed his general surgery residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 2022. He furthered his training with a trauma and critical care fellowship at the same institution, which he finished in 2024.
