Angela Ling

Angie Ling is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in both military and civilian roles. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Angie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2007, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University in 2014.

After serving on active duty in the U.S. Air Force until 2019, Angie transitioned to the Nebraska Air National Guard, where she currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serves as the Commander of the Medical Detachment of the Nebraska CERFP (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package).

Angie's leadership skills were notably demonstrated as the Incident Commander under Governor Pete Ricketts during the COVID-19 pandemic, managing the state’s response and coordination efforts. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Preparedness and Regulatory Improvement at the Nebraska Hospital Association, where she played a key role in strengthening healthcare preparedness and improved regulations across the state.

In addition to her military and leadership roles, Angie is a Nurse Practitioner, practicing in rural Emergency Medicine and Immediate Care Clinics. With a strong commitment to both clinical excellence and public health preparedness, she continues to contribute to the healthcare field with a focus on improving access to quality care in underserved areas.
