Danielle N. Rivera is a Technical Program Manager III at the Global Center for Health Security at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and brings more than 13 years of experience across technical program management, laboratory operations, chemistry, aerosol science, and BSL-1, BSL-2, and BSL-3 research environments.

Danielle manages complex federally funded biodefense, biomedical, and health security programs sponsored by DoD, DHS, DARPA, ARPA-H, and MTEC/NAMD. She has experience coordinating multi-partner programs involving academic institutions, federal stakeholders, industry performers, and technical research teams. Her work includes tracking milestones and deliverables, supporting sponsor reporting, ensuring compliance with federal requirements, and translating sponsor priorities into executable technical plans that support program execution and technology advancement.

She also brings strong hands-on laboratory experience, including designing, organizing, and managing biology and chemistry laboratories; supporting BSL-1, BSL-2, and BSL-3 compliant workflows; developing and validating protocols; overseeing analytical testing; and maintaining rigorous project documentation. Her background as both a bench scientist and technical program manager allows her to bridge scientific execution with operational leadership, helping teams advance complex research programs with technical rigor, accountability, and milestone-driven focus.
