- C-STARS
  C-STARS, the Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills- Omaha is a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine. C-STARS Omaha works closely with UNMC’s Global Center for Health Security, iEXCEL, and the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit to take advantage of the medical center’s capabilities and expertise in biopreparedness training and research.

Karina Morales is actively contributing to UNMC by supporting the Region 7 CDC Center for Public Health Preparedness and Response, NDMS Pilot projects and Training, Simulation, and Quarantine Center (TSQC) programs. She also provides administrative support to Associate Director of Research & the Special Pathogens Research Network (SPRN) Director, Lauren Sauer, PhD and helps coordinate scheduling at the Davis Global Center for Health Security.
