Locals living in the area have been advised not to touch or pick up sick or dead birds.
A spokesperson for Angus Council said: “Dead and dying seabirds have been washing up along the East Coast of Scotland in recent days, including Angus beaches and shorefronts.
“This is believed to be because of an outbreak of Avian (or bird) flu. Wild birds can carry several diseases that are infectious to people.
