- I applied to the Honors Research Program because I wanted to observe doctorate-level nursing outside of the typical clinical settings and to have a more in-depth understanding of nursing research.

- What opportunities have you gained from participating in the Honors Research Program?
- This program has provided me countless new experiences and connections. It gave me new perspective on scientific process and interdisciplinary collaboration; through meetings with research teams, developing a research proposal, visiting with study participants, and gathering data. It gave me a hands-on education in a research setting with likeminded students interested in medical science.
- What has been the most beneficial part of participating in the Honors Research Program?
- The program has helped increase my scientific literacy and allowed me to practice writing in a professional and concise style. It was an immersive experience that let me develop my creative skills in a scientific environment.
