Events

Our department hosts a variety of events designed to educate, inspire, and connect healthcare professionals and the community. These programs provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth across multiple areas of women’s health, research and clinical practice.

Empower Hour Lunch & Learn Series

The education series cover a wide range of OB-GYN topics that are commonly seen in women's health care. The events are geared for medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn, share, and strengthen knowledge in areas that matter most to patient care.

Research Symposiums

Annual and special-topic symposiums highlight groundbreaking studies and emerging trends in women’s health research, creating a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue.

Inaugural Nebraska Center for Women's Health Research Symposium occurred in November 2025.
Hypertension in Obstetrics: Presentation & Education - NEbraska (HOPE-NE) symposium is being planned and will take place on the UNMC campus in May 2026.
