Departments

Hospice & Palliative Care Fellowship

The main clinical site for this one-year pediatric track will be Children’s Nebraska, a growing 145-bed children’s hospital located in Omaha, Nebraska. Fellows will work with the interdisciplinary Children's Nebraska Hand in Hand/Palliative Care Team in a wide variety of settings to learn skills related to caring for children with chronic, complex, and/or life-threatening conditions and their families. Fellows will also participate in rotations at Nebraska Medical Center, the Nebraska-Western Iowa VA, and community partners.

At the end of the fellowship, graduates will be eligible for certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and can pursue careers focused on providing Palliative Care in inpatient and outpatient settings in either academic or community practice.
