Nathan D. Bills, PhD, MBA
Dr. Bills brings his experience in academic research and in Fortune 500 and biomedical startups into his role as an associate professor of surgery and in the Center for Advanced Surgical Technology at UNMC. He has worked in clinical testing of surgical meshes, database studies of the comparative effectiveness of surgical interventions, preclinical development and the application of artificial intelligence to surgical robotics, and in preclinical testing of medical devices. His current interests include development of a new weight loss therapy involving a technology similar to kidney dialysis and applying artificial intelligence to derive novel insights into diagnosis and prognosis from the electronic medical record.
