General Surgery, MIS, Bariatric Surgery

The Division of General Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatrics is active in the academic mission of UNMC through education of students, residents and fellows.

We have clinical and research faculty engaged in basic science, clinical trials and database research projects in areas such as wound healing, hernia prevention and weight loss.

Our division is committed to teaching comprehensive surgical care using laparoscopic, robotic and conventional surgical techniques based on the disease to provide the best care to the patients.
