Open House September 15-18, 2025

The Center for Healthy Living invites you to join us for an Open House. Take a tour, enjoy free events and snacks, and see how you could benefit from becoming a member!

Guided tours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily for groups & individuals
A CFHL staff member will give you a guided tour of our facilities, including our cardio room, weight room, fitness classrooms, and gymnasium. Come as a group or as an individual! Tours will be available between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day and last approximately 20 minutes.

Ask a Trainer: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily
Take advantage of this time to ask fitness-related questions, inquire about services, or learn more about our equipment. Available daily 9-3 p.m. or online by email to cfhlfitness@unmc.edu.

Free Popcorn & Coffee Bar
  • Grab some free popcorn at the facility between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
  • On Wednesday, Sept. 17, pick up a free coffee at our coffee bar between 7 a.m. and noon (or while supplies last), featuring a variety of syrups and milks.

Sign Up for the Second Session of Fall Intramurals
Stop by the front desk to register for one of these fall intramural leagues: basketball, futsal (indoor soccer), or volleyball. The registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 3.

Fitness Challenge: THRIVE Steps & Stairs
It’s not too late to join our free September fitness challenge! Participants will complete a progressive mix of walking intensities and exercise time paired with stair steps throughout the 6-week challenge. The challenge is a great way to improve your fitness and overall wellness as the new semester kicks off.
