Lisa Moravec

Lisa J. Moravec, RDH, MSDH, FADHA, is an associate professor and site coordinator at the UNMC College of Dentistry West Division Dental Hygiene Program in Gering, Nebraska. With over 20 years of experience in dental hygiene education, she holds a BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, an MS in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University and a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from A.T. Still University. She is also a fellow of the American Dental Hygienists' Association. Lisa teaches didactic, laboratory and clinical courses at UNMC. She demonstrates her commitment to education through active service on various committees at the College of Dentistry, UNMC, ADEA and ADHA.

Lisa Moravec is a Past President of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (‘20-21) and Nebraska Dental Hygienists’ Association (‘13-14) and Chair of the ADHA Institute for Oral Health (‘21-22). She has also served as a Delegate for ADHA and ADEA as well as on several national committees.

Lisa has presented at national and international events, and her professional interests include interprofessional education, medical-dental integration, simulation, leadership, mentoring and advancing the field through innovation and education.
