Recognizing Common Skin Cancers in Skin of Color: BCC, SCC, and Melanoma

This interactive image-based e-learning module introduces learners to the presentation of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma in patients with skin of color. The module highlights clinical features, diagnostic challenges, and disparities in outcomes to improve recognition and early diagnosis of skin cancer in diverse patient populations. Updated 2026

Approach to Inpatient Dermatology

This module teaches students to properly photograph skin conditions with tips on lighting, background, and composition based on the patient’s skin color. Additionally, common inpatient dermatologic conditions and emergencies will be covered with how to recognize, differentiate, and treat them.
