- C-STARS
  C-STARS, the Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills- Omaha is a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine. C-STARS Omaha works closely with UNMC’s Global Center for Health Security, iEXCEL, and the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit to take advantage of the medical center’s capabilities and expertise in biopreparedness training and research.

Rika Tully, BSN, RN, CCRN

Nebraska Biocontainment Unit Educator

Rika Tully has been a member of the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit (NBU) team for multiple years and recently transitioned a partial FTE dedicated to serving as an NBU educator. She supports the development and delivery of training, drills, and exercises for the NBU as well as other funded programs that focus on special pathogens education. She supports the CSTARS and USPHS courses and has participated as a SME in previous NDMS summits. Her experience and expertise as a critical care nurse and biocontainment care team member can be leveraged to support GCHS programs that include HCID considerations.
